Italian Ski Resort Health Measures

If you are planning a Ski & Snowboard Holiday to Italy this winter, the COVID-19 Green Certification, better known as the “Green Pass” (EU digital COVID certificate), is necessary to have unrestricted access to places, activities and services. The following Health Measures will also apply:

Face Mask in Italy

While in Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply,

It is mandatory to always have face masks with you. Face masks must be worn:

  • In indoor places other than private homes (shops, restaurants, common areas, etc.)

  • In healthcare settings, according to existing protocols

  • In all means of public transport

Italian Resort access by Public transport

When travelling on Public Transport during your trip to Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • Everyone over 12 years of age must present a COVID-19 green certificate in order to travel on local and regional public transport (Bus, Metro, etc)

  • People over 12 years of age must present a Covid-19 Green Certificate when travelling:

    1. by air

    2. between different regions on ships and ferries

    3. on High Speed, Intercity, Intercity Night, Inter-regional and Regional trains

    4. between different regions by coach

  • Face masks must be worn

Accommodation in Italian Resorts

When in Accommodation during your trip to Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • Accommodation facilities are open, in compliance with social distancing and the protocols and guidelines adopted to prevent or reduce the risk of contagion.

  • Access to anyone over 12 years of age is only allowed with a COVID-19 green certificate.

Italian Restaurants

When in Restaurants during your trip to Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • All catering activities are open, with no maximum limit for the number of diners, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Everyone over 12 years of age must show a digital COVID-19 green certificate to eat and drink at tables indoors.

Italian Resort Shops & Tourist Offices

When at Shops & Tourist Offices during your trip to Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • Face masks are compulsory

Equipment Hire Shops in Italian Ski Resorts

When in an Equipment Hire Shop while in Italy on your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • Face masks are compulsory

Leisure Venues in Italy

When visiting a Leisure Venue, including Swimming Pools, Thermal Baths and Wellness, when in Italy on your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • Everyone over 12 years of age must show a digital COVID-19 green certificate at the entrance.

Cultural Venues in Italy

When visiting a Cultural Venue when in Italy on your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • Everyone over 12 years of age must show the COVID-19 digital green certificate at the entrance.

  • Face masks are compulsory.

On Ski Lifts in Italian Resorts

When on a Ski lift while in Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply.

This winter, three requirements must be met to access 'enclosed' cableways:

  • Possession of Covid 19 green certification for 'enclosed' lifts (cable cars, gondola lifts and chairlifts, when used with the windscreens closed)

  • Maintaining the interpersonal distance of no less than 1 metre on the way in and out

  • Use of a surgical or higher grade (FFP2) mask in common areas and during transport on ski lifts and cable cars

Italian Ski Schools for Ski & Snowboard Lessons

When at Ski & Snowboard Schools during your trip to Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • Face masks are compulsory when indoors.

At Nightclubs and Late-night Bars in Italian Resorts

When in Bars & Nightclubs during your trip to Italy for your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter, the following Health Measures will apply:

  • The COVID-19 Green Pass is required

Outdoors and on the Pistes in Italian Resorts

While Outdoors and on the Pistes in Italy during your Ski & Snowboard Holidays this winter:

  • Face masks are not compulsory for outdoor activities.

  • Winter sports (i.e. skiing, snowboarding and toboganning) are outdoor activities.
