Les Deux Alpes Overview
Always a favourite with groups thanks to its great intermediate terrain, ski schools and strip of 20 or more bars, Les Deux Alpes is growing up.
We’ll always enjoy an apero in the Secret Bar but as well as hitting the strip, there are lots of other things to do in Les Deux Alpes.
Take a Rando Gourmande, a local produce tour, or taste wine at 3,200m in the Refuge des Glaciers. Eat dinner at Le Diable Au Coeur which has an Eco Table accreditation.
Ride the gondola to Venosc to explore its cobbled streets and 14th century church. Take a paragliding flight above the resort or learn to speed ride, a combo of paragliding and skiing.
Commit to a five day ski touring course or prove your trail running credentials at the Night Trail event in January. Participants can choose from a 5, 10, 15 or 20km race – in the mountains, at night! Chapeau to those who attempt or complete it.

Skiing & Snowboarding in Les Deux Alpes
Les Deux Alpes is blessed with a 3,600m glacier, the largest skiable glacier in Europe. It opens for pro ski racers on October 12th and between October 27th and November 7th for those who need a pre-season fix.
The lifts in Les Deux Alpes are run by SATA, the same company that runs the lifts in Alpe d’Huez and the freeride mecca of La Grave. They plan to invest €128m in Les Deux Alpes over five years, culminating in a new gondola by 2024 which will take 4000 skiers an hour from the resort to the glacier.
LDA has something for everyone with long blue runs, five free lifts at the bottom of the slopes, a freestyle area, timed slalom course, kid park and photo jump. Expert skiers can head to La Grave for a day of challenging off piste terrain.
AT €270, the Les 2 Alpes six day adult liftpass is affordable for student/younger groups.
